Road

Three levels to choose from

Our rides illustration

All ride groups are limited to a maximum of 12 riders per group. Larger groups are split into 2 or even 3 groups made up of riders of similar fitness levels. This policy increases the comfort and safety for all. Group rides accommodate riders of all abilities and provide a pathway for riders as their fitness, skills, and experience develop. It is the responsibility for each rider to know the routes and ideally have them downloaded into their bike computer.

Group ride departure times and routes will be shared with the club prior to the rides. We recommend that all members register with Strava and join the Milton Bicycle Club Strava Group.

It is important that all rides have their bikes in proper running order and have adequate means of making repairs on the road. Everyone must also carry identification and a cell phone in case help is needed. Helmets are also mandatory on all club rides as per the rules outlined by the OCA insurance policy.

During the summer we make every effort to organize a weekday evening mountain bike ride at a trail system within reach of Milton, such as Kelso, Hilton Falls/Agreement Forest, or Puslynch Tract. Many of our members also race at the Kelso weekly race series on Tuesday nights.

Rides typically range from 1.5–2 hours in duration. Riders will typically ride at a pace that is comfortable to them and everyone will always be able to regroup at checkpoints through the trails.

Track

On the boards

A healthy portation of our memberbase regularly ride at track drop-ins, races, and structured training sessions at the Mattamy National Cycling Center in town. If you have questions or are interested learning more about the track, please contact us.

If there is enough demand/interest, the club may look to rent private track time. Any track time purchased must be paid-in-full in advance (refunds will not be issued).
